Blog Brother Episode 25 – There’s Only So Much A Man Can Give

DOUBLE EVICTION! WOOO!!! THINGS ARE GOING TO GET HOT! MAYBE. After tonight, there’ll only be 5 houseguests remaining. LOOK HOW FAR WE’VE COME?!

Let’s predict what will happen. Dan and Danielle will insist that they’re keeping Frank. The Quack Pack is going to insist that they’re getting rid of Frank. Frank will go home. Unless someone does something stupid.

Speaking of stupid things… Dan just makes a comment along the lines of “What happens if Joe wins the HoH?” Frank’s like “Uh… what? That would mean that Joe would have to have the votes to stay…” “Oh, yeah, uh… don’t know what I was thinking about.” Now Frank is paranoid. Oh Dan. OH DAN! I guess everyone makes mistakes.

“Frank’s escaped so many times… they call him Houdini.” “Houdini died young.”

Now Dan’s got himself all worried about what will happen if Joe wins HoH. Now he needs to make sure he’s safe. Joe says that he’d put up Shane and Danielle. Joe claims he was lying and that Dan would be his actual target. 30 minutes later, Dan enters the room once more to go to sleep. Joe leans over and whispers “Dan chased me in here as soon as I went to bed.” “Who did?” “Dan.” “This is Dan.” “… What’s up?” “Go to bed, Joe.” Now Shane’s in the room and Dan’s joking about it, but Dan no longer trusts Joe and it seems as if this eviction could go in a different direction than I anticipated.

Eviction time. Frank makes a convincing argument about why he should stay in the game. Very similar to his Veto speech. Joe stands up and says boring stuff I don’t care about. VOTE!

Ian – HoH

Frank – Nominated

Joe – Nominated

Dan – Frank

Danielle – Frank

Jenn – Joe

Shane – Frank

Britney – Evicted

Ashley – Evicted

Frank, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house.

Boom. Frank is evicted by a vote of 3-1. Blindside much? “Sorry Frank.” “You’re a great competitor man.” I’m sure those words make Frank feel great about this. He leaves the house with very little fanfare. Frank did play an honest game, which is respectable. Great competitor. Goodbye message time. All of these messages are fairly flattering. “You are the ultimate threat.” “I’m voting you out because I respect you and know I can’t beat you.” Frank says that there are absolutely hard feelings towards Dan. I… don’t really blame him. I’m sure he’ll get over it, but Dan’s played a bit of a despicable game.

HoH TIME!!! “Make Your Case”. Julie reads a quote from an evicted houseguests final plea. They have to guess who it was. Each correct answer is worth a point. Fairly straightforward. Jenn is the only person to get the first question right, so she’s in the lead after one. Jenn, Dan, and Danielle all get points in the second round. Joe, Shane, Dan, and Danielle all get points after round three, meaning we have a three way tie. Jenn, Dan, and Danielle all get points AGAIN! I’m sure this is making for a great read. Jenn, Dan, and Danielle are at 4 points apiece now after five rounds. And… Jenn, Dan, and Danielle ALL GET IT AGAIN! Are you kidding me? Nobody gets the right answer for the seventh round so it goes to a tie-breaker. They’ve got to guess a number and be closest without going over. “Rounding to the nearest minute, how many minutes elapsed from the time Jodi entered the Big Brother house to the time she walked out the front door?” Danielle says 230. Dan says 363. Jenn says 160. The correct answer is 481 minutes which makes Dan the new Head of Household. Wow, that couldn’t have worked out better for him. So, does he stick with the Quack Pack and nominate Jenn and Joe? If so, I’m thinking that Frank’s going to be going home.

Hahaha, Joe comes into the living room and immediately sits in one of the nominee chairs. Unsurprisingly, Joe is nominated. Surprisingly, Dan nominates Ian because he hasn’t been nominated yet. Interesting.

Veto times!! Times for Veto!! It’s an aquatic themed Veto competition called “Swimming With Sharks”. OOOH! So they go to a shark fin that is attached to a big wooden puzzle maze. They’ve got to navigate the fin through the maze, get it out the other end, then run back and hit the buzzer. Once again, fairly straightforward. Very hard to tell who’s in the lead considering they have to keep back tracking, but it looks like Joe and Ian are both doing well. Dan’s still in it. Jenn’s still in it. Shane is nowhere to be seen. Wow, Ian’s making great progress. Or… maybe not. It’s a maze, so there’s lots of backtracking. Man, Ian’s getting close. And he’s got it! Ian wins the Veto! Nice job. Ian’s got a few minutes to decide whether or not he’s going to use the Veto on himself… UGH. I WONDER WHAT HE’LL DO?!?!?

Can someone tell me what Shane’s doing? You’re going the wrong way man.

Dan wants to talk to Ian in private. Jenn follows him. Jenn goes to open the door for Ian and hits him. The crowd laughs. Jenn leaves to let Ian and Dan talk in private and Ian goes to follow her out. “No, Ian… I’m talking to you.” “Oh.” My audio keeps cutting out so I’m not really sure what’s going to happen. Wait, what? Dan’s putting Danielle up? He just whispered it to her. Julie’s demanding that they all return to the living room. Ian removes himself from the block. Dan puts Danielle up. What? WHAT? I’m assuming he knows what he’s doing because I certainly don’t. Danielle looks flustered. He wants an explanation. I suppose the thought is… that if Dan puts up Danielle, then… Okay, everyone knows that Shane will vote to keep Danielle in the game. Maybe Dan’s worried that Shane will try to keep Joe since they’re kind of in an alliance and the only way he can ensure that Shane votes to evict Joe is if Danielle’s up against him? That makes sense, right? That has to be it. It’s because of what Joe did that night in the bedroom. He betrayed that he and Shane are tighter than Dan thought. Yup. That’s the reasoning. Good work guys.

Eviction time. Danielle wants to stay. Joe wants to stay. Let’s do this.

Joe, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house.

AS PREDICTED, Joe goes home 3-0. Dan knows how to play this game.

Everyone’s whispering and I can’t tell what they’re saying.

When Julie asks Joe why he went home instead of Danielle, Joe responds “Showmance. I mean… I’ll rub his back but that’s all he’s getting. There’s only so much a man can give!” Julie follows up with “What exactly is that on your chin?” Apparently it’s his… mini claus? I have more questions now than I did before.

Alright, looks like we’ve got to wait until the next episode to find out who the HoH will be. Two evictions next week. Get READY!
